Directory Opus 8.2.2.3

Miscellaneous changes and bug fixes for 8.2.2.3

  • Fixed problem with ‘New Lister’ from Desktop menu which did not work correctly if Opus was not running – caused by anomaly with new custom icon routines.

  • Improved support for Icons and Custom icons. Under Windows 2000 the custom icon support could cause incorrect display of normal icons. If required (for any OS) there is now a new registry variable to disable the custom icon support. Set this registry variable to disable the support for custom icons routines if necessary-
    HHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\GPSoftware\Directory Opus
    (String) NoIconTrickery = "1"

  • SFTP Fixed problems with

    • Fixed problem with Double-Click on files not responding.
    • Fixed problem of viewing of GIF images in the Lister viewer panel.
    • Added more informative details when site reconnects after abort etc
  • Fixed problem with pdftext.dll plug-in creating zero byte files if the file name contained Chinese/Japanese (Unicode) characters.

  • FTP fixed problem with eastern European characters in Unicode version.

  • Fixed problem with incorrect display of MP3 details.

  • Fixed a very rare anomaly where under certain specific circumstances the deletion of a folder to the Recycle Bin could cause Opus to consume 100% of CPU time.

  • FTP fixed CDUP after a timeout / reconnect did not connect to correct folder .

Note:

Because of some previously unseen problems caused by the new support for custom icons, the Opus installer now sets the NoIconTrickery registry value by default, to disable the new behaviour.

If you want to use custom icon sets with Opus you will need to locate this value in the registry as described above, delete it, and then restart Opus. (Note that setting it to zero isn't enough, you have to delete it or rename it.)
