Get/set Labels/Status via a script?

Apologies if this is obvious, but I've scoured the help for a bit and can't see how to get or set an Item's (folder/file) labels or status.

Any clues?

A way to get them was added in the most recent beta, 12.2.5 (beta):

[ul][li]Added Item.Labels method which returns a Vector of all labels applying to an item.[/li][/ul]

For setting labels, you run the Properties SETLABEL ... command from the script.
