Keeping column formats the same in split windows

I have a lister that defines a set of columns. I click on "display this in the other file display" icon. It opens a second display "split window" as expected with the folder structure the same in both as expected. However, I want the second window to also have the same columns as the first. I also want the columns to be the same as I traverse the folder tree.

How can I do this?

If you want the same columns displayed everywhere:

If you want it only for when in a particular directory, the steps are similar, but chose the option to only save for that folder.
