When scrolling through the aliases, theres always a second higlighted line visible (the upper one)
in the same distance:
Sorry, can´t reproduce it now. But there is something different. When i start to scroll down, using
the down arrow, the scrolling will get stuck in about the first third of the list. When starting to scroll
upwards from the first item on, i can only scroll up until the middle, the it starts at the bottom item
again, like in a loop. I suppose, we should be able to scroll through the whole list in both directions.
I suspect you have the mouse over the list, and you're mixing up the highlight for the item under the mouse with the current item selected by the keyboard.
PS: Changing a thread from one question to another is one of the reasons most people can't edit their posts.
I was talking about the arrow thing. Nothing seems wrong with it here; I suspect you're getting confused by the item which is "hot" under the mouse, so you may just need to move your mouse pointer away from the pop-up list.
What i can see here is following: i have about over hundred items in the list, say from a to z. When i scroll down that list, holding the
arrow key, with the mouse cursor well placed somewhere above the lister to make sure it doesn´t interact with the action i´m doing,
i can´t get past the system alias "downloads". That´s where it stops. (That´s about the first third of the list), getting stuck.
So i can´t get past that item using the arrow key.
I can user the PgDn key the, to get past that point, but when i use the arrow key, it will "loop" shortly after that point, so i can´t reach
the bottom of the list. When i do the same holding the "up" arrow, something similar happens; scrolling up the list goes just until the middle
of the list, but starts from the bottom portion again after reaching the middle (not getting stuck here), in a loop.
Maybe it only happens with lots of aliases (I don't have many beyond the standard ones). If you send me your /dopusdata/ConfigFiles/folderaliases.oxc file I'll try with that.
Does the alias it gets stuck on work? i.e. If you go to /downloads to you end up in your downloads folder?
Thanks for the aliases config file (and the cat, lol ).
Yeah, as Jon guessed, it's the duplicate Downloads alias that you've got left over from before. (Opus wouldn't let you create one today but you can still inherit it from the config of a past version or by manually editing the config file.)
If you go into Preferences and delete your Downloads alias so it only leaves the system alias, it should fix things.
