13.12 Toolbar buttons now have unhidable highlight when pressed

Greetings Gurus. I updated to 13.12 and noticed that although I have all my buttons set to No highlight border checked. Now all buttons draw a distracting box when clicked. Can this visual effect be disabled? Should it be on by default?

Is there a way to change the color of this pressed highlight?

Please add transparent options to the color picker for highlight and shadow.

I don’t think we changed anything related to this recently. What does this box look like?

Maybe Use Visual Styles is now checked by default. I noticed it after upgrading.
Prior to this no highlight at all was noticeable.

That isn't new in 13.12, and is part of the visual style which has always been there in one way or another when the button is hot (mouse is over it).

Then it's now checked by default somehow. Is it possible to make that color picker support transparent colors as well in a update instead of just the solid colors.

It already does when appropriate.

You can also edit the toolbar visual style in Preferences to change the border and fill colors.

I don't know what you mean by It already does when appropriate.
This picker is for solid colors only

This picker supports transparency, this should be easy to implement the transparent color picker.

Greetings Gurus, again this is a UI issue that needs addressing.
Certain user themes aren't visually compatible with the solid colors.
Adding transparent color options will give users far more custom options for their toolbar highlights.

  1. Transparent background color picker
  2. Transparent highlight color picker
  3. Transparent shadow color picker

Please add transparency color pickers for those options.

This looks like a bug that stopped the "no highlight" flag from preventing the border on button click. We'll fix that in the next update.
