Leo can you explain why icons show as black boxes? I work with lots and lots of ICOns, ICNS, etc. I emptied the cache, tried different sizes.
Could you post a couple of the icons in question?

How to I post them? I tried two times and none show up when I attach the files. Post is blank as seen in this thread.

(re: posting files, the forum only allows certain formats to be posted, so zipping is usually the best option).
Those icons work ok for us here. I wonder what you're using to "theme" your folder icons as shown in your screenshot? Presumably a Stardock product of some sort (since there's a Stardock_icons folder)? If you can, try disabling that and see if it makes a difference.
If that doesn't help, what viewer plugins do you have installed? If you have the "universal graphics plugin", try disabling that.
Wow you are good, but you have an advantage seeing that stardock folder! No worries Jon, I used icondeveloper on some all but one of them showed up fine.

Not if you don't need it, no, it has been known to cause a few problems in the past (although not with icons that we know of), it was just something that was worth trying.
So were you able to get the icons to work by disabling the Stardock software?
I was able to fix the problem, err it seemed to fix itself. I dumped cache and allowed dopus to recreate.
