I don't have any locked tabs and after opening two new tabs, I don't have any lock icon too.
What do you need, about the set-up of DOpus?

Just a screenshot of the main Opus window(s) that you have open when the problem happens.
(Not of Preferences or anything like that.)
Actually, if you could include task manager in the screenshot that might help (e.g. if everyone with the problem turns out to have a particular program running).
Hard to know exactly what to look for when it's still not clear why it's happening.
Both myself and GPSoft keep looking over what was changed in 9.5.1/9.5.2 and cannot see anything obvious that would make this start happening.
I'm not sure, but I really have the problem, if I'm just working in folders, which will synced by Jungledisk. I tried to rename some files in other local drives or some mapped network drives. But the issue wasn't repeatable on thoses drives. Than I tried it out with a drive, synced be Jungledisk and it happened again. At this time, I hadn't running any more software, beside NIS 2010 and the client was booted until before starting this tests.

How about the shellchange_debug log or screenshots I asked for?
Is anyone else with the problem using Jungledisk?
leo,
I made the shellchange_debug log (see attachment), and I hope, it will help you, to find the problem. At the moment, I don't have installed an capture program like snag it, to send you a screenshot.
The jump to the root directory happened after renaming the pdf file.
Please let me know, if you need any further information.

You don't need anything special installed to create a screenshot. Just press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. This places a snapshot into your clipboard which you can then paste directly into an Opus lister or into a paint program to crop.
Alternatively, if you're using Vista then there's a program called Snipping Tool which should do it as well.
steve,
thank you.
wherefore do you need a screenshot?
The screenshot that Leo requested previously in this thread:

@leo:
could you find anything in the logfile I posted yesterday?
Joey
POST THE SCREENSHOT.......
You've been asked several times now...
The log file revealed something (harmless) that might be connected but hasn't let us reproduce the actual problem yet.
We really need that screenshot to know how the window is configured in case that part is important.
I'm wondering where everyone else who had this issue has gone to as well. People were understandably annoyed by the problem but as soon as we ask for anything to try to figure it out the same people seem to vanish into thin air leaving us nothing to go on.
I sent a screenshot to steve as a pm. What you don´t see on the screenshot, I have two floating toolbars too.
Joe
Hi again. Unfortunately I was wrong saying that the issue is solved with 9.5.2. It seems to happen less often but it happens. Today, for example, it didn't happen anyway, whatever I tried.
One thing about the locked tabs: it doesn't really matter if any are in there. If the change-dir-thing happens while a locked tab is active, the new folder will just be opened in a new tab.
Regarding the maped network drives: I don't have any. Most of the time I am somewhere in my documents folder.
I will try the debug-extension and write again.
Some Software which run on startup:

I've passed it on to those in a position to investigate. Why you couldn't post it here for the benefit of all I don't know. Then others with the problem might have seen something similar in their own setups which might have helped point the way.
Secondly, when asked for a screenshot to help solve a problem you're having, we really shouldn't have to keep asking for it. We are, after all, just users trying to help users. It's not for our benefit...
are you ready now?
I hope, I could help, whether I sent the pm-screenshot, instead of posting it here.
I think, the setup of the DOpus windows is very normal and not especially.

XP Professional SP2. Directory Opus 9.5.2.0.3660.x86 - 1/8/2010 10:08:26 AM
While I have read that some people were supposedly experiencing weird behavior without input I have not experienced such behavior; my problems have occurred after the same kind of input each time which is pasting.
I do have a clipboard manager which I do use to create new folders; Clipboard Magic 4.01 Build 4.012. So this program is up and running when this behavior occurs, but as I have said and have read on the forum this is the first time I've experienced this behavior. I have used Clipboard Magic to create new folders in previous versions of Opus without any such problem. I'm not saying Clipboard Magic may not contribute to the problem, but it has never done so before. I have two macro programs; KeyText and PhaseExpress, but I rarely use either and I can't think of a time they were open with Opus. About the only time I use Macro Programs is for Word and writing letters. I do us Clipboard Magic quite extensively for many different things. I have some file Backup Programs, but have used neither for some time; Titan Backup and GFI Backup 2009 - Home Edition, but have not used GFI since I installed it.
I have been having a problem with my main optical drive not being recognized, and at the same time have not been able to access Setup or Safe Mode, very strange, but I sincerely doubt it has anything to do with this. Have never experienced any problems what-so-ever with Opus until this version. I have wanted to backup my system and wipe my drive and reinstall windows but without being able to access Setup or Safe Mode or being able to save my backups to disk that makes it impossible.
My problem is when I copy files from one drive to another drive; in this case from C:\ to E:\ after I paste the file the tree folds up to the Root Directory.
On occasion after I paste the selected file (program) to the destination folder after the file finishes moving the the folder tree folds up to the Root folder. This does not happen every time, only occasionally. I do not consider this a serious problem merely an annoying frustrating one.
Again, this only happens when I initiate a paste and have not experienced unexplained behavior without input from me.
Sometimes it happens without any activity, mostly during or after renaming a filename. So it would be wrong to say, it happens without any input, but without any input to jump into the tree folder.
Hi, I posted last week in some detail about this issue on my XP machine. Well of course ever since then DOpus has behaved itself impeccably, it hasn't changed folders once! I don't think I've changed anything else.
However, someone mentioned a syncing app (Jungledisk), I myself use Syncplicity - perhaps there's a connection? However it's fine at the moment.
Will post my findings if it crops up again.
Good luck
