Well does it work? Or did I pollute my box with WMP 11 for no reason... ?
Actually... they really DID seem to do a nice job on it. I have been spending more time than I'd like trying to get foobar to display the album list the way WMP11 does and finally just said screw it... maybe I'll give WMP 11 a shot.
If you can both play and enqueue files, then what are you missing? And I guess you're saying that what you can do on Vista is different than what you used to be able to do under XP... for WMP?
My originate question was solved a long time ago (adding a directory to WMP). I'm happy, others continued this discussion, but I wondered why an enqeue-command is required because WMP add it automatically to contextmenu?!
Did I say that WMP is different on XP/Vista? But yes, I remember that I need to change a command used in DO on XP that didn't work in Vista same way, so it's different.
I'm still not really sure what you're saying or what point you're trying to make because I don't have Vista available to test against...
Anyway... snip's continuation of this discussion was a little different from your original question. He didn't want changes to the right-click context menu like you did... he wanted the behavior of what happens when files are double-clicked to change... so I don't think what you're talking about applies to snip's follow-up question.
If there's something you used to be able to do with XP but CAN'T do anymore under Vista and would like to be able to again under Vista... then let us know. I can't tell if that is what you're saying or if you're just mentioning things you have discovered since moving to Vista and sharing it with others reading this topic...
I just want Snip to know that an enqeue command is in context menu (as alternative). I don't know if it's also in XP (where WMP11 isn't included by default), so I wrote Vista. You asked if there's a difference
BTW there're some differences between WMP on XP and Vista! For example when adding a file via doubleclick, Vistra-WMP doesn't stay in taskbar when minimized, on XP WMP does (another thread from Snip). I had the same prob but unfortunately forgot how I solved this.
