Always secure wipe?

Hi,

I have noticed that usually, not always, but usually when I delete a directory off a network share or a memory card it does secure wipe. I don't need to do secure wipe most of the time. How can I get it to not do that?

Hmm... What is it about the deletion of files in these cases that makes you think it's a 'secure' wipe instead of just a regular delete?

Could it be this setting?
Preferences -> File Operations -> Deleting Files
Is the checkbox Use Secure Wipe when not deleting to the Recycle Bin checked ?

It's always worth trying the preferences filter with problems like this - looking to see if there are any relevant settings to tweak.
