I'm trying to have the Folder Tree expand only certain files / folders every time I open a new lister, but the "lock" doesn't really get carried over to the new listers (or saved as far as I know). So, is there a way to lock it and keep it that way?
Turn on the lock, then update the default lister using Settings -> Set as Default Lister.
(If you are opening a saved layout instead of the default lister, you should update the layout as well.)
Still no luck.
I set the tree as it suits the current project I'm working on.
Click lock.
Settings ... Default (it asks Click Ok to save the current Lister as the Default Lister. The Default Lister will be used when opening new Listers other than via Saved Layout -> Ok; The Default Lister settings have been updated -> Ok).
Double click on the desktop (or File -> Open New Lister)
A new Lister opens ... with everything collapsed (the Folder Tree is shown as locked though).
The setting under Preferemces -> Launching Opus -> From the Desktop has the "Open the Default Lister" - I must be doing something wrong?
Oh, do you want the tree in new windows to open with particular folders expanded, when those folders aren't the one that's displayed? I don't think you can do that.
Oh well, for some reason I expected Folder Tree lock to be inheritable. Nevermind.
The lock just means the tree doesn't react to changes. The lock gets saved but the content of the tree itself never does.
