Anyone here using Macro Express?

A handful of users of the latest version of Macro Express Pro (4.1.0.1) experience seizures, when the whole PC just freezes and you can do next to nothing. The only way to recover is to kill Macro Express.

When trying to diagnose the problem, we have naturally been wondering about clashes with other software. So far the only common software is DOpus.

The sample is pitifully small, just three people. But to rule out any clashes, it would be nice to know if there are other people using this combination without problems.

Thanks for any reports folks can offer.

I use Macro Express Pro (4.1.0.1) together with the actual DOpus.

So far no clashes which I could prove to be one of the others fault.

I am as well - very light usage of ME though. I also don't think I ever really have ME running any macros while DO has focus if that is relevant at all.

I don't think the issue is a clash when DOpus is a party to any action on the part of MacroExpress. If it was that straightforward, then I think the people suffering from the affliction would have noticed.

The problem is that no one can spot an obvious cause.

It is just that the whole PC freezes up for no obvious reason. and a handful of the people who see this use DOpus.

I can see no link, but I wanted to rule it out. Two people with no problems and the same combination is a small clue that something else is behind the problem.

The only clash caused by MacroExpress was in an earlier version with OmniPage Professional 17: When MacroExpress was running OmniPage couldn't be started. But that does not happen anymore in the actual version of MacroExpress Pro.

Aha, someone else bitten by that bug.

I'd forgotten that.

You are right, now fixed.

But I don't think the guys who write Macro Express ever acknowledged its existence, which is why we are having trouble with the slow down issue. They are silent on that too.
