I'm not sure if this is a DO issue or something else, but it has been occurring frequently since I installed the latest DO beta (probably coincidence). While I'm in DO, file type association icons are at times missing but if I click on the file, the correct program loads (see below). If I'm in regular Explorer, it properly shows the icon. Any advice on what the problem/resolution would be?
Have you rebooted since you first saw the problem?
This problem has been going on for at least a week and I turn down my computer almost daily.
Leo, what is weird is that if I go into the media player and reapply the association for AVI for example, close out of DO and go back in, the icons appears. After shutting down my PC and then turning it back on and load DO, many times (not every time) the icons will disappear.
Leo, I just exited out of DO and then reloaded it and the icons reappeared without reapplying the association through the media player.
The other days I had a slightly different icon issue in DOpus.
The taskbar icon was all wrong on my 32-bit PC. Reboot did not fix it. What did the job was to reinstall the latest beta version of DOpus, the one that I had already installed.
So, if this happens again, that might be worth trying.
Thank you for the suggestion. I reinstalled Do and thus far the file type association icons continue appearing in DO, even after two reboots. Hopefully, that cleared the problem up. Thanks again.
