I sort my pictures based on date that they were taken, but the photos remain in a series like photo_####. i just break it off based on the date i took them. Naturally I can rename the photos using the date they were taken, but I do not do that for all my pictures, just certain ones.
So here is my feature request. Add a check box to the advanced rename window that will remember the last # in a sequence. So if i rename photos in directory "a" starting from 0001 and there are 300 pix, so long as i have this new check box enabled, when i go to directory "b" it will know to start the count at 0301. If i uncheck the box at that point and tell it to proceed, the next time i come to rename it will reset back to the default 001.
I could of course view my entire dir structure in Flat mode, but in each dir i have contact sheets for that day's photos as well as an other directory for "outtakes", "pano's" etc. Each of which has a diff rename structure. I suppose I could always go to flat mode, and use a filter to hide/show whatever i want to rename, but that seems to be too much work.
