Backup Directory Opus from Command Line

Hi. Newbie here, be gentle

I can backup the contents of \appdata\roaming\gpsoftware\directory opus, but is there a way to have DO run its backup command with parameters from the command line?

If I do backup the Appdata contents can I restore that and have everything except maybe the license certificate?

Thanks.

Examples can be found here:

The DOpusRT.exe command-line docs may also be useful to understand what the examples are doing:

And the Prefs command docs:

Many thanks for the perfect response.

I did search this forum for my answer before creating my topic - guess I need to get the hang of searching here better

p.s. the solution I landed on was just manually creating a 7z out of all the folders at ..\appdata\roaming\GPSoftware\Directory Opus - comes out a nice small 28Kb file. I'm under the impression that restoring that and then manually installing the license file gets you back in action!

Mostly. You'll keep the logs but miss out on state data.

So it’s best to stick with the internal backup command?

I can do that

Depends on your needs.

I run a full Opus backup on every Opus startup and an incremental archive backup via command line every hour.
