I give it a new try with the latest version 9.1.1.5 Before to try anything, I want to make sure I can revert to the original setting the day of the installation.
a. Is "Preferences - File - Restore & Backup - Backup configuration" the correct way to do so?
Is there a way to remove the full key in HKCU\Softwares... in the registry to revert to the default setting (as it is the case with xplorer2)?
Ps: would a user be nice enough to re-upload a default configuration for 9.1.1.5, as someone did in the old thread for an older version.
b. How do I prevent any changes I made to be registered until to be confident enough with all the features? Once again I compare with xplorer2 which I know a little: in the advance properties, there is the option to "do not change on exit". How can I do the same in DO9?
c. Is there a full manual (.pdf or .htm, .chm or else) for the latest version? Is so link
The 9.1.1.3 default configuration will work in 9.1.1.5. I don't think any of the defaults changed between those two versions, either, so you can consider it a 9.1.1.5 default config export as well.
The latest version of the manual comes in HTML Help format with the program (push F1) and can be downloaded in PDF format from the GPSoftware website.
Just to reinforce what Leo has said, DOpus is one of the few products I have used whose configuration Backup & Restore function can be confidently relied upon to bring you back to the state you were in when your backup was carried out.
It depends which changes you mean and how you change them. Changes to Preferences are saved as soon as you hit OK. Changes to the Opus window you are using will not generally be saved unless you tell Opus to save them.
Clearing Update Default Lister automatically when closing a Lister would make sense, yes.
Or just backup your config so you can restore it if you need to.
