My laptop is my primary computer. Like pretty much all laptops, it has rather limited disk space. So most of my music and vidoes reside on network storage devices and are usually accessed over a wireless G connection. I love the various specialized formats DOpus uses, but when I switch into a folder containing a lot of music or videos, the network gets tied up and the laptop becomes very sluggish if not downright unresponsive.
As a future feature, how about caching the ID3 data for music files and whatever information the codecs currently return about video files? It would sure make access over the network much more responsive if DOpus didn't have to read each file to pull out this info every time a folder is displayed.
