I think I gave up because of the low speed of the cable connection. A USB 3.0 SD card reader will be a lot faster.

No problems here with several cameras and a normal USB card reader.

it's funny, but it doesn't open only fromThis PC, it opens normally through the drop-down menu (same for phone)

Double-click works OK with my phone, FWIW.

Have you customized the folder double-click events, or got any scripts installed that change double-clicks or folder changes?
