Something like Set DUALSIZE 75 maybe? Of course you can choose other values. To make it permanent, you can use for example Prefs SETDEFAULTLISTER, which should be in your default menues somewhere.

What I want to know is how to increase the width of the control (splitter) to adjust the ratio between the left and right file listings.

I am using a 4K monitor and it is difficult to align the cursor because of the narrow width.

The splitter width scales with DPI (system scaling %). Other than that, the width isn't configurable.
