Can you clear the viewer pane?

I'm a new Directory Opus user (bought it my first day) and I'm just starting to learn my way around. So far, I have only found one thing that doesn't work well for me. I have a pane with tabs across the top...each tab is labeled with a different clients name. Since I work with boilerplate contracts, many of my files have the same name and similar content, so each client has a separate folder to keep things organized, making this a perfect setup for my needs. The problem is, when I preview a file in the preview pane for Client A, and then switch to the tab (folder) for Client B, the preview pane still shows the preview for Client A. If I'm not paying close attention, it becomes difficult and time consuming to determine who the preview belongs to. Your software would be a perfect 10 for me if the preview pane would clear itself when I click on a different folder. Thank you for your consideration.

The viewer pane is associated with a selected file. Changing folder tabs does not change the file selection. You have to select a new file in order to change what appears in the viewer. Maybe the developers would consider adding an option to clear the viewer on change of folder.

You are correct AB...that is exactly what I am asking, and hoping for!

I am very much interested in such an option, too, since I have the same problem, and of course we are speaking of an option only, with even the default behavior staying as it is, so no harm to anybody not wanting this.

I didn't get any response one way or the other so it either can't be done, not enough other users have asked for it, or the developers don't think it's necessary. That's too bad...for this user it would make a really good piece of software absolutely perfect!
