Can you force "Recently Visited" to include closed tabs?

I'm having trouble understanding the behavior of the "Recently Visited" list. What folders are supposed to be included in the list? Recently closed listers? I'm assuming that by default it does not include recently closed tabs; is there a way to force DOpus to include them in the list?

The behavior of what's included in the list seems to be erratic; sometimes a folder I visited in single pane mode is included, but when I view a folder in dual pane it isn't included. Or perhaps I'm just misunderstanding the intended behavior...

Can anyone clarify this for me? And is it possible to include recently closed tabs in the list?

By default, it will contain a list of the 10 most recent folders that you have "done something" in. If you turn off the Ignore filesystem folders that are only transited option then folders that you simply visit but don't do anything in will also be included.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This was driving me nuts! That seemingly small option in the preferences makes all the difference. I can now sleep well at night...
