Cancel Querying file and Folder information

Sometimes I would like to be-able to cancel the 'Querying file and Folder'. I usually want to do this when I open a folder with a column that expensive to calculate. What I do now is remove the column and then reload the tab. But if its a large folder that has its own negatives.

It would be handy if we could right blue spinning indicator and have a menu display that allows us to cancel the process.

This is an old request and thread, that I have always wanted. I would love to know if there are any updates or plans?

Some of my folders are huge (Tb of smallish files underneath), and the count goes on forever, meanwhile, I cant change the top folder's name. I just have to wait (up to an hour). I seem to run into this a lot.
