Dear Sir,

```
        After installing Directory Opus 8, The Windows TaskBar could not be hidden. Is there any setting affecting it?
        Thanks.
```

Paul Cheuk.

I'm currently running DOpus 8.2.2.0 and have no problems hiding the taskbar. I've been running various versions of DOpus for about a year now, and have never had any problems hiding the taskbar. I always have it hidden, I don't like the thing. 🙂

Occasionally, the taskbar hiding effect will simply stop working, regardless of whether or not DOpus is installed or running. This is a Windows problem. Usually opening the task manager with ctrl-alt-del and killing "explorer.exe," then restarting "explorer.exe" with the "New Task" dialog in the task manager will fix the problem. Again, this is a Windows problem, not a DOpus problem.

Take a look at your taskbar settings, just to make sure that Auto-Hide is turned on. I've seen the option mysteriously turn itself off for no apparent reason. If all looks good there, try the process I outlined above. If that doesn't work, either, then there is probably a much deeper problem.
