Thanks for the screenshots, it just clarified what it was you were talking about.
As Leo said, this "aspect" of Explorer is not what Opus replaces.
Opus replaces the Explorer folder browser - what you get if you press Windows+E or click the Explorer icon on the task bar.
It doesn't replace the file selector - the dialog that lets you open or save a file, or choose a particular folder. It never has replaced those.
