Cannot open new DejaVu X project file

In the lister context menu, I have "Word" and "Text file", and when I click on them, an empty .doc and .txt file, respectively, opens nicely.

I also have my translation program, DejaVu X, with

FileType NEW=.dvprj

and, in FileTypes,

Open "C"Program Files/ATRIL/Deja Vu X/DejaVUX.ext" "%1"

You'd think it would work, because it is exactly the same as for .doc and .txt, but when I click on this lister context menu, nothing happens.

Any clue as to what might be wrong.

Regards,

Hans L

Might have just been a typo in the forum, but you have C" instead of C: in the example you posted.

Oy, you are right. Thanks for point it out. (And there are more errors - slashes.)

I tried "Ctrl+C, but it did not work, so I had to type it in, and that is not my forte.

This is what it should have been:

Open "C:\Program Files\ATRIL\Deja Vu X\DejaVUX.ext" "%1"

Any clue now

If you run

"C:\Program Files\ATRIL\Deja Vu X\DejaVUX.ext" "C:\path\to\your\empty\file.dvprj"

from a command prompt does that work? If not then it's a problem with the command line or DejaVu X since that puts Opus out of the picture.

BTW, is it meant to be .ext and not .exe?

Oy, I don't seem to get anything right today. exe!

Will try what you suggested.

I get

' "C:\Program Files\ATRIL\Deja Vu X\Dejavux.exe"' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

That is rather strange. Well, maybe not. I think I am not really with it (too much work in the summer, I being one of the few Swedish translators around). What I want to do is not really opening an empty file, because that is not what this program does. I simply want to open the application. I feel rather foolish now. Only when the application has opened can I tell the app where the project file should be put .

I will remove the context menu item, withdraw, and contemplate life for a while

Seriously, thanks for listening - without it, I would never have figured this one out.
