Cannot paste image to FTP site in Opus 10

I haven't seen this raised anywhere, and nothing with a similar "Subject", forgive me if it is a repeat.

I use my FTP site to host images of the sort that appear on forums like this. Here's one I prepared earlier:

aslo51.dsl.pipex.com/images/ ... Perror.jpg

It seems that I cannot paste images from the clipboard into the FTP site in Opus 10. It worked fine in Opus 9.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to change a setting?

same here. ;( i loved this function.

Confirmed.

I suspect this worked by accident in Opus 9. Trying it in the old version just now, it doesn't re-use the existing connection and instead creates a new one, prompting me for the password again, etc. which is a bit clunky.) But even if it only worked by accident, it was probably only broken by accident as well.

I've filed a bug report to see what Greg & Jon think.

I saw no sign of creating a new connection. Certainly no password request.

Paste in FTP behaved exactly like paste in other folders.

Did you let Opus store your passwords?

Yes.

That might be why you didn't noticed it reconnecting. I noticed it because it put up a password prompt.

Or maybe there's more to it than that... Hard to say as I'm just guessing.

This ability should be restored in the next update. (Testing in a pre-release version, it no longer asks me for my password like it did in Opus 9, too.)

Nice one.

Thanks.

speaking of that functionality: it would be great if dopus would automatically allow to rename the file (F2 functionality)

Change your Ctrl-V hotkey (Settings -> Customize -> Keys) to run Clipboard PASTE AS=ask instead of just Clipboard PASTE.

cool, thanks.

Can I set that for only some folders?

Or are all keyboard features program wide?

Only program wide, but you'll only be asked when pasting an image or text from the clipboard, not when using ctrl-c / ctrl-v to copy files around, FWIW.

If you only want to be asked sometimes for image/text data you'd have to set up a different hotkey. (e.g. Ctrl-Shift-V maybe.)

That's what I did.

Now, let's see if it works in the version that re-enables that feature.

Got my nickers in a twist this morning using alternative methods.

This is fixed in the new release.

You can now paste images over an FTP connection.

Thanks for the rapid response.
