Cat or dog drawing in the progress dialogue window

Have just had a strange thing happen whilst doing some copying.
Had the progress dialogue minimized, unminimized it to see how many items left to copy and I saw an image a line drawing of a cat or dog move across the bottom of the progress dialogue on the green band .
Was I seeing things ????????
