I just installed Opus a few days ago. Now I am doing my work (that is working in text files) and I keep getting the "changes that affect your global template" and "normal was being edited" dialogue boxes popping up--when I'm trying to close and save (and also I think when I'm opening some files, too.
The boxes are getting a bit out of hand. (I can hardly close them- before another one pops up. I think it's a sequence where it goes from one box to the next and then a blue screen)
I wonder if my computer is confused by Opus--and I need to change some setting. Any suggestions, regarding making my computer more compatible with Opus, would be appreciated
BTW, there are lots of hits on Google for the messages you're seeing from Word. There's probably some useful information there. Without knowing more about your Word setup it's hard to know which articles are most applicable.
I'm using Office 2007 (word 2007). Windows XP, pentium 4, Dell Computer, almost 5 years old, either Service pack 2 or 3. I think my husband was able to upgrade the Ram to 2 GB. That's all it would allow.
Yes, I do have the viewer pane open. I was wondering if that might have something to do with it.
Ive been moving files from the pane on right to the tree on left (into different folders). That's how I copied files in Explorer. That's when the program goes a bit crazy, though.
