Check box view arrow pointing, but then what?

This is gonna be a simple question. I was trying the sync function. In the lister, it will mark a few files with arrows pointing to the other lister. (see picture attachment)

How do I get those files to move or copy to the other lister?

Click the Synchronize button below the Compare button that you clicked to generate the arrows.

oh, Ok, I had tried that and what confused me was the directory "re-expanded" making it look like it was doing a resync on ALL the files, not just the ones I chose.
