"Check for program updates" does not appear to work

Hi all,

First post for me here.

Basically, I now have a problem where clicking on "Check for program updates" does not appear to work. In stead of getting the pop-up window that I used to get, nothing now appears to happen.

Is the pop-up window still supposed to appear when you click on "check for program updates"? If so, then does anyone have any idea what the issue I'm having is and how to sort it out?

Try closing Opus and trying again, or if that doesn't work turn off automatic update checks, close Opus and try another time.

I think the issue is that if there's already an update check going on in the background then pressing Check Now doesn't do anything.

Why the update check isn't completing or is taking so long is a separate issue, but let's see if I'm right about the first part first.

That's mighty impressive I must say!

I'd already tried shutting down and re-starting the program but checking for updates manually still didn't work.

So I turned off the automatic updates check as you've suggested and manual checks now work.

I've turned the automatic updates check back on and manual checks for updates still works.
