Hi,
WXP SP3, Opus beta 10...4160.x86
I use the Commander dual display. If there is more maps and files then I can see in the lister window
I can't jump to one further down by using a keyboard letter. E.g. jump from first file to the first
one starting with S by using the s-letter.
It work in the Folder Tree.

If you have these files:
Aaa.txt
Bbb.txt
S01.txt
S02.txt
And you start on Aaa.txt...
Do you mean that:
[ul][li]If you push S you don't jump to S01.txt[/li][/ul]
Or:
[ul][li]If you push S you jump to S01.txt, but then if you push S again you don't jump to S02.txt[/li][/ul]
?

So what does happen when you push S? You could try providing a little more information.
Nothing, the row is marked and remain so. What more can I say?
It works if I use Folder tree But only in the folder tree.

Is Preferences / File Displays / Find-As-You-Type / Require activation key for Find mode turned on? If so, turn it off.
