Citrix Support

Hi is Directory Opus supported to run in a citrix environment (Xenapp 6), I'm looking to use it as a alternative to explorer.exe which is unreliable
and..
How would the licencing work?

Thank you

I don't have any experience with Xenapp but I have used Opus without problems on remote-desktop-style Citrix setups (i.e. where Citrix is used to provide an entire desktop, not just individual apps that appear to run on the local desktop).

I'm not familiar enough with Xenapp to say whether Opus would be suitable for that environment. I expect it would give you a file manager for the remote machine, not for the local machine (unless the local drives were shared/mapped to the remote machine), but that is just a guess.

What are the problems you've had with Explorer in that environment? Knowing those may help us tell you if Opus is likely to be better (or worse) against the issues you've been facing.

Questions about sales/licencing should be sent to GPSoftware for a definitive answer.

Essentially Opus licensing is like terminal server, you need an Opus licence count equivalent to the total concurrent users on a Citrix system.
