Collections and sub-collections

I am not sure about the difference between a collection and a sub-collection, in spite of having read the manual. I would be grateful for an explanation.

Sub-collections are collections inside other collections.

Like a sub-folder is a folder inside another folder.

Creating a File Collection with a Sub Folder File Collection might be what I need. But how would you accomplish this?

I also would like to combine to File Collections. I what I accomplish this?

One last question:
I have 48,000 records in a File Collection, 21.8 GB. Using the Utility Panel: Find, the quarry stopped before it was completed.

Hence the need run the quarry and the balance that was not completed and then trying to combine the 2 files, which I'm not sure how to do.

The normal Create Folder button will create a collection or sub-collection if you are in coll:// or in a collection, respectively.

Combine in what way? Please start a new thread for that with details.
