Can I add color to a custom context menu item similar to what is currently in the built in Folder Colors menu?
Yes. Did you try searching the site before posting this? It took about 10 seconds searching for "folder color" to find a post in the buttons and toolbars forum which describes this.
Yes, I did search and yes, I saw the post about folder colors.
That tutorial shows how to refer to the built in Folder Colors dialog in Preferences. What I want to do is to add a color to a custom context menu item. My context menu has gotten fairly cluttered and I want to be able to add a highlight to a few items that I have added.
Well perhaps it would be better if you would describe what you're trying to do a little better.
All the lister context menu items are editable in the command editor which provides colour pickers...
If you're talking about filetype context menus then you cannot colour them.
I believe my original post describes exactly what I want; "add color to a custom context menu". Sorry to have been a bother.
No. What you actually asked is :
Which implies you're talking about Opus' Folder Colors feature - hence the confusion.
It's not a case of being a bother. It's a case of a little thought going into a post makes it so much easier for people to respond quickly with an accurate answer.
I never found an advanced command editor in the context menu dialog. In any case, I used an icon as an alternative to get it to stand out.

Just before you posted this I updated my earlier post. You didn't make it clear which context menus you were talking about.
