Is it possible to compare two ore more images side by side in the fullscreen mode?
Indirectly yes. If you uncheck the preferences/viewer/standalone viewer/recycle viewer window option as indicated in the screen shot below you can open two or more images, each in its own standalone viewer, and size the windows to fit side by side.
