I have 2 or 3 PNGs in each of 100 subfolders. I want to have them all copied into one folder for easy viewing. Some of the files will have the same names, so I also need to rename any duplicates in the process.
I tried using the filter selection to match PNGs, but when they are copied, the original subfolder is also preserved which I don't want. I just want to end up with ONE folder with ALL the PNGs in it.
Use Flat View (Mixed) to get a list of all files below the starting folder. Filter that to *.png if you want.
As Abr says, at that point you may already have what you want.
If you do want to copy/move all the files to one place, just select them all and do the copy/move as you would normally. Opus will prompt to ask if you want the files to all end up in the same folder or to preserve the hierarchy (unless it has been configured not to ask and to always do one or the other). If any files conflict during the copy/move you can choose the Rename New All option to deal with that.
[quote="gambit37"]Thanks guys. What's Flat View? Still an Opus noob

If you still want to experience Flat View just to see what it is, navigate to a folder containing subfolders, then select Flat View from the Drop Down in Folder Options (the second icon to the right of Settings in a default configuration).
