# Copy item to collection and create collection if needed

If I execute **Copy {f} to coll://somecoll** and no such collection currently exists the command fails. Given that both source and target are explicitly specified my expectation was that the target collection would be created if necessary but this is not the case.

Similar to, but not quite the same as [this post](https://resource.dopus.com/t/possible-copy-selected-files-to-new-collection-on-the-fly/6703) from 2008.
