Copying files with the same name

Hi, apologies if this is covered elsewhere, I did search.

I know DOpus has a lot of stuff for renaming files and is highly configurable but I wonder if I can make it work in the same way as Explorer (gasp!) :open_mouth:

I often copy all the emails concerning a particular project from Outlook into a folder (drag and drop). The file name is set to the subject of the email, so often there'll be a dozen or more items with the same filename.

Currently in DOpus, I have to rename each one in turn, when prompted. But if I use ye olde Explorer, it automatically adds (1), (2) and so on to each successive filename, saving me this chore.

This is mighty handy, so I currently switch back to Explorer to do this! Is there an option to do this in DOpus? (I can't find one). I need it to happen as part of the drag and drop operation, so it can't be a toolbar button or scripted rename operation.

Just wondered..!

When the Replace? dialog appears, click the arrow on the right of the Replace button. A pop-up menu will appear and one of the options is to "auto rename" which will append (1) etc. to the filename to make it unique.

Doh! I hadn't spotted that. Yes, that does precisely what I asked for.
I knew DOpus wouldn't let me down - many thanks for the speedy and helpful response.

All the best
