When I try to copy a file from a folder on SharePoint to another folder on SharePoint and the file to be copied is only available online (bubble icon), Dopus claims that it is not possible to access the file online. Explorer, on the other hand, copies without problems.
Dopus also copies without problems if the same source file is made available offline (in the two cases: full green icon with the checkmark and icon with only the green borders and checkmark, the white background). why this different behavior between Explorer and Dopus?
Your forum account says you’re still using Opus 10; is that correct? The way it works will likely be different between 10 and 13.
I understand and apologize for leaving incorrect information in the forum.
I'm now on Dopus 13.11 x64.
No problem! The forum normally updates your version automatically if you upgrade the licence it was linked to. But if you buy a completely separate licence (so you have two or more) then it doesn't know they're connected.
If you want, I can un-link your account which will let you link it to the newer licence. Let me know if you want that.
Going back to the file copying problem, do you see different results if you set:
Preferences / Miscellaneous / Advanced: [Filesystem] copy_allow_delegation
to False, then try the copy again?
(If it doesn't make a difference, please reset it back to the default True setting afterwards.)
Hello.
Regarding the indication of my license in the profile: ok, thanks, please disconnect the current link so that I can insert a new one.
About copying files: wow, it works! Thank you.
But... what are the negative implications, if any, of changing the parameter you suggested?
It’s somewhat strange, since changing that setting makes Opus not use the same file copying method File Explorer uses.
Downsides are that other file copies may be slightly slower, but it’s often hard to notice and depends on the hardware and networks involved. (Sometimes it’s actually faster, too.)
