when switching on foldercontent for videos and pictures DO crashes when opening a folder including such files (except music, which works).
Manually selecting view is no problem, so it can't be a codec problem.
It's a known issue with 9.5.1.0 -- see the page on 9.5.1.0 as well as the FAQ on crashes when changing folders. The download page links to 9.5.0.0 for this reason.
Hm, read about it, but it thought it would affect only new users.
It happens when the bubble telling you about content type formats appears. It only appears the first three (I think) times you trigger a content type format so most existing users won't see it.
If it's a new machine or you've never turned on the content type formats before then you can still see the problem.
