Using v12.8. Also seen it with the previous version.
The crash happens when the lister is open in flat view and another program is modifying the folders and files.
It doesn't always happen.
If by previous version you mean 12.7.1-beta or later, please re-download 12.8 for a possible fix.
If 12.7.0 or earlier, please send us the crash dumps for investigation.

We've a change for the next version which should prevent this from happening, if you're still seeing it. (It looks like it could happen when changing folders while flat view was still loading, in quite specific circumstances.)
