I'm back from holiday and started to sort some photos. Suddenly DO started a crash/restart loop some minutes ago. I resumed from s3-standby before this started. Maybe you can find what's causing this, here are the most recent 3 dumps. DO keeps crashing/restarting while I write this, the "Programm Error" dialog popus up, asks me to terminate a thread, then another requester "DO needs to close..".
Can you tell me what TIFF file or a path maybe? I do not handle TIFF files in DO, so I wonder where the TIFF comes into play. I can imagine an image editor created a temporary TIFF in some temporary space, but that would mean DO has a tab open to that temp-folder, hu? I checked the tabs I have open, it does not look like there is one open that would contain TIFFs. I searched/filtered for TIFFs in some of them to make sure, but who knows! o)
The file path isn't in the minidump, unfortunately.
Do you use any raw digital camera types? Some of those use the TIFF format as a container.
You might be able to narrow it down by turning on the description column in the folder. If that causes the crash, copy half the files to a new folder and see if that still causes the crash, which tells you which half the problem file is in. Repeat that process and it should narrow things down to one file fairly quickly.
Ok, unfortunately no path information, thanks. You mean if I use RAW files from camera? Yes I do, it's all Panasonic *.RW2 + JPG files here. Will try what happens with the description column enabled. Thank you!
Unfortunately no. I kept tempering with image files the last days as I did before, but the crash loop didn't arise again.
I also did not come across any TIFFs, but I'm not done yet with the holiday photos, maybe things get worse again the next days, I will keep you informed. o)
