# Creating a Copy/Delete with filter button

Hey there,
The delete/copy with filter option is great, but enabling it in the options by default causes some irritation when you DON'T need a filter and just want to chuck a few files away etc.
Could someone perhaps explain how to make a button on the toolbat that will "Copy with filter" and "Delete with filter" so that when I do need this functionality I don't have to go into the options?
I have a feeling it'll run something along the lines of turning on filters, executing a delete/copy and turning it off again but I'm not sure!! ❓

I think you just need to use Copy FILTER
There are other options, too, like you can make a button that does an unfiltered copy normally but prompts you for a filter if you hold shift when you push it. You can also a make a button which always uses a particular filter. See the section on the Copy command in the manual for full details.

I will replace the regular copy button with a 3-button one, as I think I have an idea for the 3rd option...
