Creating new layout and drives and programs load extremely slow

I'm creating a totally new layout, Lister, and find loading times very slow.
I'm using the toolbar office 365 that comes with the Opus version 12. When I clicked on MS-OneNote, very slow load time.

The same thing is happening when I click on a drive, it seems it only happen the 1st time I select the drive. I'm quite certain it has been nothing more than a setting I need to change in preferences. I went through it and I didn't find it.

Drives taking a long time to load the first time, but loading quickly after that, usually means the drives are configured to turn off when not in use. It takes 5-10 seconds for a mechanical harddrive to spin up again if it has been turned off.

Programs loading slowly: What happens if you launch them from the Start Menu? (Is this a question about Opus or OneNote?)
