Had to edit this post because your form is not set to display Cyrillic and I had put Cyrillic in the Subject and this is what displayed: (Сриллик).. Now that I've put it in the body it displays... What was in the ()'s was the decimal or special charaters that would represent the cyrillic letters.. ғ etc..
On to my question.
Hello,
First I think it's cool that Viewer Pane will allow me to edit song info without having to take the track to WinAmp, But....
I have a Lot of Russian, Ukrainian music and DOpus will not allow me to type Cyrillic in.
Also, I've notice it does not display all characters when Cyrillic has already been entered via WinAmp. This part may be because some may have been entered on my Linux and Some on my XP system.
I have Cyrillic keyboard layout installed and have gone to cpanel and changed my Regional and Language Options>Advanced and sellected Russian under Language for non-Unicode progams.
But this (?@><5A>B 55 <5AB0>File Info says:
промо песне от ее места
promo song from her site
svetikova.ru/photo/
but in DOpus Viewer Pane, this is what I see:
00000000 00000210 00000B4A 0000000000E6F5A6 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000
Agian.. This is not true of all the text. There is a lot of text in this file that DOpus Viewer shows the Cyrillic.
So my guess is that some has been entered win1251 and some utf-8 (Linux)...
Maybe?
Anyways, back to the question of Why can't Cyrillic be entered in the Viewer Pane if it is installed in system.
DOpus allows me to rename files to Cyrillic.
Two more little things.
DOpus will not search Cyrillic and this ones not a biggy, but sorts all Cyrillic named files after 1251 (english) files.. Put's them at the end of the list. Like I said this is no biggy and may be nicer as I can just hit end to get to them and I understand that this is most likely due to laguage of os.
Thanks for DOpus.
