Date - Create - Access - Modify

None of these dates seem to become an outright on my files. I have looked through preferences and have not been able to find where my problem might be. Are the above values only applicable to the manipulation of the filename. Is Access date modified when a file is opened, but no changes are made to the actual file. I would think create is when the file is added to the system. For the first time.

Hoping for some help in this area.

I will look into the following.

Bob

What does "None of these dates seem to become an outright on my files" mean...?

Maybe it doesn't matter..., I think the right answer is the date info shouldn't have much to do with Opus and should be coming from NTFS... But I can tell you that I've also seen cases where I've opened a file (say a PDF or something) and then NOT seen the Last Accessed timestamp change, causing me to scratch my head...

Windows doesn't update the Last Accessed timestamp by default any more, since it can reduce performance. You can enable it if you want.

Well there you go... No more head scratching .

jon - Where can I change that? First I come back after four months and find the most fabulous update I have ever used. Now I find I might have a solution for my Access Date issue. What next.

Bob

Sorry jon my eye site is not the best. I went back to your message, and so the underlying.

Bob

It seems to relate more to directories. But as it describes on what it's doing, my system would probably scream in pain if I used it.
I guess a button would be my best solution, once I figure out what I'm doing. But thanks for help, again.
