I find the DateTime relative graphs helpful. However I also often find I have a a lot of old and a few really new files. This results in the graphs being ether almost empty or almost full, with little variation between them.
Could an option be added to display the relative graphs using logarithmic comparison?
It could be done as a separate graph column via scripting already.
That wouldn't help if you want the graphs behind the main date column, combined, but may be worth experimenting with to see if it produces better results with your files, or if is needs to be weighted in some way for the best results.
@leo, creating a custom column was my thought my also. I prefer the bar behind the dates (I recall you like them separated). However it will be interesting to see the output and if it actually does anything useful.
When creating custom columns, are we able to change the colour on a per file basis? Taking the newest as the reference I could set colour based on same second, min, hour, day and so on.
I tried creating relative columns based on log values. It didn't work out the way way I expected.
Maybe I didn't do the math correctly. If I log the values before comparing them it makes little difference. If I log the values after I compare them as the numbers become too similar.
