Default New Lister Settings

Settings / Preferences / Layout / Default Settings / Default New Lister Settings / Size :

I've changed this option to 1024 x 768 but it has no effect: new listers still have 800 x 600.

You probably just need to go to the first tab on the same page, I think it's called Opening Listers, and turn off everything at the top. (All the Inherit from the Default Lister stuff.)
