Delay in deleting files

Hi...

Lately I been finding that after selecting a number of files for deletion and then hitting the delete key, there is a significant delay - some 5 to 10 seconds - while the system is "discovering" files. It finds the first 3 files or so and then pauses. Once the actual deletion process begins, it's virtually instantaneous...

It does not occur every time but is more frequent on USB connections/drives as opposed to local SSD's and disk drives.

I'm not sure if it's Windows related or Opus... Certainly I don't recall it happening with Opus 11...

In any case, it's not a critical issue, merely a bit of an annoyance...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Rob

When deleting to the recycle bin, Opus just gives Windows the list of files to delete. Everything that happens after that (including the mysterious "discovering" process) is up to Windows, unfortunately.

As I thought Jon... Thanks anyway...
