At times I have to delete several thousand records. The process stops when I get a error message "system cannot find file' and a couple other error messages. If I was to select "skip" is there a feature in the delete that would keep a record of all the files that were skipped so I would not have to sit here every time it hits a error and right column the name and then hit continue. Filling conditions that are creating a problem are my files that are on my website and marked as 600 or read/write only.

In situations like that, I click Skip All. To know which files were skipped is usually easy: They're the files that are still there.
If you'd only selected some files in a folder with many, seeing which are still there is less easy, of course. The files you'd selected to delete but which were skipped should still be selected afterwards, provided you didn't do anything with the lister after starting the delete. (Although I'm not 100% sure if that applies to FTP as the delete will trigger a folder refresh.)
If Delete-filters are involved, you can apply the same filter to a folder (and subfolders) to see everything it should delete, then delete that and see what's left afterwards.
That would be good if I were only dealing with one or very few directories. But sometimes I am dealing with 100's of directories. What would I do in that case?
Leo...I want to apologize, I think I did that in the wee hours. Deletion is more a subset of my problem. What I am really trying to do is copy the files from the forum to my hard drive. When I do this I get the problem of having to skip over a file. And we are talking about probably 20-40 directories but over a period of 3 hours. So what I would like to see if I did say skip all, is the system would keep a list that I could view at the end. It would be so extremely beneficial to have a list of all the files that were skipped so I could go back and find the problems. When all is said and done, I really need a list of files that were skipped and if this feature or option isn't in there it sure would be useful.

Leo...you sure seem to answer a lot of these questions, are you somehow associated with Opus??
If we're talking about copying, not deleting, then you can click the Unattended checkbox in the progress dialog and then any problem files will be logged to the window that opens.
are you somehow associated with Opus??
Yes, I've been helping to write it lately.
I'm going to check that out.
It must be nice working on something that so rewarding. There are two programs that I need running before I get into something on my computer.
- Opus
- Dragon
