Deleting folders via breadcrumbs bar is slower in Dopus 11

Deleting folders via breadcrumbs bar is slower in Dopus 11.

when i right click on a folder in the breadcrumbs bar and delete it, it takes longer in 11 than it did in 10. what could be the reason for this? i thought it was the ghost crumb feature but i disabled that and the folder deletion is still slow. :open_mouth:

This is intentional, and not limited to the breadcrumbs bar.

If the current folder is deleted, Opus waits 1 second in case it comes back, before changing folders. This helps with certain things which replace the entire current folder by removing and re-creating it (or renaming another folder into its place).

(That said, this does not happen if the folder tree is open: The tree itself triggers an immediate move to a sibling folder if it notices the current folder has been deleted.)

For a quick way to delete the current folder, you can push Backspace, then Del, if Preferences / Folders / Folder Behaviour / Select previous folder when going Up has been turned on.

Oh ok, thanks. So it's slower in 11 because that feature has been improved (the wait period)?

There was no wait period in the past.

For future reference I have now made a button that does:
go UP
Delete

Works nicely.
